TERMS & CONDITIONS

The following Booking T&C pertain to Susan King Pilates only.
 
If you are booking through an external provider ensure you refer to their Booking T&C.

Pilates Hub Studio T&C apply to all users of Pilates Hub regardless of which Pilates Teacher you are booked with.  

Those with Pro Membership are subject to Pro Membership T&C and Pilates Hub Studio T&C
 
If you are attending Pilates at Pilates Hub you should familiarise yourself with the Studio T&C here

Website T&C apply to all users of this website

Definitions

  • "I/Us/We" means Susan King trading as Susan King Pilates and Pilates Hub.

  • "You/Client/" means any person that is using this website or Pilates Hub

  • "T&C" means these terms and conditions.

  • "Pilates/Session/Pilates Session/Pilates Class/Class" means all/any Pilates service offered at Pilates Hub

  • "Studio/Pilates Studio" means Pilates Hub

  • "Studio Apparatus" means Reformer, Cadillac, Wall Unit, High Low Combo Chair, Low chair, Spine corrector, Ladder Barrel, Arcs, Foot Corrector and small accessories

  • "Website" means www.susankingpilates.com.

References in the T&C to the singular will include the plural and vice versa and references to the masculine gender will include references to the feminine gender.

The Booking T&C are also incorporated into the health questionnaire and booking letters

Susan King trading as Susan King Pilates and Pilates Hub reserves the right to change the T&C as required.

All changes will be published on this page of the website.

 
CLASS BOOKINGS

BOOKING PROCEDURE

Payment for all services is made at the time of booking (class bookings are not held without payment).  

Payments made remotely must be by BACS 

I Do Not take Debit, Credit Cards or Paypal

On receipt of payment you'll be sent a confirmation email.  

Once you have received your confirmation email your booking is made and is then subject to the Cancellation Policy.

Class Booking T&C

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

No refunds or discounts are given for missed sessions.

 

All courses are Non-Refundable once the course has commenced.

 

The course is deemed to have commenced at the start time of the first session of the term. 

Partial Refunds are possible before the course has commenced.   

If you drop out before the course commences you will received a refund of the course fee minus the non refundable deposit e.g. £87-£30 = £57 refund

 

Deposits are Non-Refundable.  All Class deposits are set at £30. 

 

Transfers are allowed.  

It may be possible to transfer your course place to another individual of similar level at the teacher's discretion.

CATCH UP CLASSES

Individual sessions missed by class participants may be taken in the form of Catch Up Classes (subject to availability)

 

Catch Up Classes are spaces given up by other clients in alternative timetabled classes.

 

48 HOURS NOTICE of your non-attendance is required to qualify for a Catch Up Class.  

 

You must give up your own session space before you can take the session space of another.

Once you have given up your session space you can't take it back if it has been allocated to another person

 

All Catch Up sessions MUST be taken within each termly block and cannot be carried over to the next term.

 

Catch Up sessions are subject to availability and are not guaranteed. 

PRIVATE BOOKINGS

PRICES

Standard Rate

For One-off or Ad Hoc appointments, and Zoom 1:1

1:1 £60 per hour 

2:1 £30 per person per hour

Zoom 1:1  (variable durations)

1:1 £60 per hour, £40 for 40 mins, £30 for 30 mins

Local Residents Regular Studio Rate

A special rate for those living in Cornwall, who are committing to a regular weekly session at the studio.

1:1 - £46 per hour Paid Termly Upfront e.g. 6 week term £276

2:1 - £25 per person per hour Paid Termly Upfront

BOOKING PROCEDURE

Private Lesson Booking T&C

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

Private lessons are subject to a 24 Hour cancellation policy.  

 

Your payment will be refunded if your session is cancelled more than 24 hours before the session start time.

If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice you will be charged the full session fee.

 

REGULAR SESSIONS

It is possible to have a regular private lesson space in the timetable that is consistently yours (subject to availability)

If you no longer wish to have a regular space you simply have to inform me by the end of your pre paid block that you will no longer be continuing (though longer notice is appreciated)

e.g. of Real life Regular Session T&C

You commit to Wednesday 1030-1130 for your regular Private lesson and pay for 6 consecutive weeks.

 

Someone then attempts to book Wednesday 1030-1130 in 7 weeks time.  

 

Even though you have not yet paid for that space I will not sell your space to them.  I will inform them it is unavailable (as it is being reserved for you).  

Your reoccurring payment is due by the last session of your current block at the latest. 

(normal 24 hour cancellation policy and block booking refund policy applies to regular bookings)

Pilates Hub Studio T&C

Your instructor reserves the right to refuse access to class at Pilates Hub if they consider the physical health of the individual concerned may be endangered by the use of the facilities.

If you are voluntarily consenting to undertake an exercise you are required to follow the safety and technique instructions of your teacher at all times. 

 

You are participating voluntary and this rule does not prevent you from opting to miss out exercises that you feel are not suitable for you.

You are not permitted to....

  • start exercising before the start time of the session if you have arrived early

  • use the studio apparatus without Susan King (or your qualified teacher) being present

Your clothing should not have metal zips, buttons or buckles that could damage studio apparatus or studio apparatus upholstery.

All Jewellery that could damage studio apparatus and studio apparatus upholstery should be removed before starting your Pilates session

You may be charged for any damage caused by you to Pilates Hub studio fixtures/fittings that is a direct result of wearing jewellery or clothing with metal zips, buttons or buckles.

You are requested to be careful with regards to your surroundings and how you interact with the Pilates Studio space.

 

You may be charged for any Pilates Studio damage, damage to Pilates Studio fixtures/fittings, damage to items for sale including artwork/paintings that is a direct result of carelessness on your part.

examples of carelessness include, but are not limited to....

  • pulling on fixtures and fittings to get yourself up of the floor instead of using good posture and technique and as a result pulling items over and causing damage.

  • leaning carelessly against/near pictures/paintings and pulling/knocking them off the walls, and as a result causing damage to the walls or the pictures/paintings themselves.

  • throwing small apparatus into the storage cupboard instead of placing them away carefully

  • Putting drinks bottles on Studio apparatus upholstery and leaving water marks/stains*

  • Making accidental pen marks on the studio apparatus upholstery* 

       *Studio Apparatus should be used for Pilates only

SAFETY & HYGEINE

For safety all Studio Apparatus should be used for Pilates only.  

For safety you must be acknowledged that Studio Apparatus moving parts are unstable.  

 

Studio apparatus is not furniture and must not be used as a seat/chair.  

 

Studio apparatus is not a tool/aid for helping you up and down from the floor.   

 

In the interests of safety and hygiene all participants must wear grippy socks while using the Studio Apparatus

Mobile Phones should be turned off or on Silent and stored away from the exercise area.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS

 

Personal belongings are brought into the Studio at your own risk and Susan King trading as Susan King Pilates & Pilates Hub does not accept liability for any loss or damage to personal items.

Do not wear Jewellery or watches during your Pilates session.  

 

Susan King trading as Susan King Pilates and Pilates Hub does not accept liability for any damage to Jewellery or Watches worn in the studio as they should be removed before starting your session.

PARKING

There is no public car parking at Pilates Hub or Old Bakery Studios.  

Susan King trading as Susan King Pilates & Pilates Hub provides no parking provision for customers.  

 

You are responsible for selecting your own parking area and any regulations that may be enforced by the provider.

You are responsible for any parking charges, including fines you may incur while attending class at Pilates Hub.

LIABILITY

Susan King trading as Susan King Pilates and Pilates Hub takes health and safety and accident prevention very seriously.  

Pilates is an exercise system and should be treated as such.

 

It is not rehabilitation and Pilates instructors are not therapists and do not diagnose conditions.

You will be guided through suitable exercises for your fitness level and disclosed health conditions.  

 

It is your responsibility to inform your instructor of any changes in your physical health before undertaking any Pilates session at Pilates Hub

It is your responsibility to immediately inform your Instructor of any discomfort felt during your session.

Pilates apparatus can be dangerous if used without proper care and attention.  

 

You must observe all health and safety instructions given, must only proceed with any exercise if you feel safe, and inform your teacher immediately if you feel unsure or unsafe regarding the use of any apparatus.

You acknowledge there are risks involved in undertaking any exercise activity, including Pilates, and agree to hold Pilates Hub, Susan King Pilates and Susan King entirely free from any liability, including financial responsibility for any injuries incurred.

Pilates Hub Studio T&C
Pro Membership T&C

Pilates Hub Pro Memberships are available to Qualified Teachers and those who are currently undertaking Pilates teacher training only.  You will need to provide evidence of your certification or training status for all membership packages, Apparatus pro will also require evidence of teacher's Insurance.

You are responsible for your own safety while using the studio under either Apparatus Solo or Apparatus Mat unsupervised memberships.

You are responsible for your own safety and the safety of your clients if using Apparatus Pro membership.

Only teach on equipped you are certified on.

Only use equipment you have received training on.

Pilates equipment can be dangerous. Safety first at all times.  Do not take risks.  Remember you are unsupervised.  Your membership is for off peak studio hire and not emergency assistance.  Make arrangements for your own emergency contact in the case of an accident.

You are not permitted to bring any other persons into the studio with Apparatus and Mat Solo memberships, either to join in or to watch.

No under 18s are permitted in the studio at any time.

You are not permitted to film yourself using Pilates Hub and post the footage on any Social media platforms. 

You are not permitted to film yourself using Pilates Hub and use the footage for commercial gain.

You are required to wipe down the equipment used during your session with the cleaning products provided.

You are required to leave the studio in the state of cleanliness that you find it, close windows and switch off lights.

You are required to lock up the studio on completion of your session and return the key to the secure key box.

You will be responsible for any damage caused to the studio from carelessness or not following membership rules e.g. water damage to tower caused by rain from a window left open, theft of studio fittings or shop stock due to unlocked door on departure.

Monthly sessions are only valid for the month they pertain to. Unused sessions can not be carried over to the next month.  

Monthly memberships are not refundable once the first session has been taken or a week has passed since purchase, which ever event occurs soonest.
